Lifecare Medical Transports is Hiring an Operations Supervisor Near Springfield, VA

Position: Operations Supervisor
Company: LifeCare Medical Transports
Location: Springfield, VA
General Description:
Has direct responsibility to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Northern Virginia Field operations. Responsible for the safety program for the organization. Enforce company policies, standard operating guidelines (SOGs), medical protocols, EMS regulations both federal and state, and directives of the Executive Leadership team of LifeCare.
Essential Functions
  • Evaluation of daily schedules to include maintaining minimum staffing levels.
  • minimum staffing levels must be maintained
  • Recruit new employees for the region
  • Review of payroll for accuracy to include completely discrepancy report daily & time
card approval
  • Stay current with tardy/absentee program
  • Review and submission of weekly vehicle reports
  • Review and monitor daily check in/out sheets for vehicles
  • Facility visits to build and maintain working relationships with administration
  • Plan and participate in community events, facility meetings and staff development
meetings regularly
  • Provide excellent customer service to external and internal customers
  • Communicate effectively with the management team
  • Account for durable supplies and equipment for stations and/or departments
  • Oversee Dispatch and Call‐Center
  • Assist safety committee
  • Develop, monitor, and implement new policies/procedures for department/station
  • Corporate Duty Officer shifts
  • Stays current with trends, training, federal and state laws in EMS
  • Other duties assigned
Skills, Abilities & Knowledge/Certification Requirements
  • Knowledge of the EMS industry to include the Rappahannock Emergency Medical
  • Services Council (REMS), and the Office of Emergency Medical Services of Virginia
(OEMS of VA).
  • Full knowledge of the company's Standard Operating Guidelines (SOGs).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, detailed orientated, problem solver
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Ability to adapt and handle complex situations in a time effective manner.
  • Ability to handle high stress environments and situations.
  • Ability to lift, carry and balance a minimum of 200 pounds.
  • Ability to maintain a good working relationship with crew members, public safety
officers, hospital staff and the general public.
  • College Graduate (preferred)
  • Valid Virginia Driver’s License
  • US citizen or legal alien
  • Able to successfully pass a criminal and financial background check
  • Released BLS Provider (Required)
  • Released ALS Provider (Preferred)
  • ACLS, PALS or PEPP (Required if ALS)
  • EVOC Certification
  • CPR Certification
  • TIMS Certification
  • ACLS and PALS or PEPP Certification
  • FEMS ICS 100, 200, 700 & 800c Certifications
  • Hazmat Certification
